Peter has over a decade of experience in consulting and research in several areas of Information Security and Assurance and has held senior technical and management positions with organizations in research and consulting. He is working as a trusted advisor to domestic and foreign Telecommunications carriers, cable providers and Fortune 500 companies on identifying security requirements and conducting vulnerability assessments on IMS/FMC/NGN and VoIP networks, and performing product evaluations including SBC’s (Session Border Controllers), DPI (Deep Packet Inspection), Signaling/Media gateways, soft-switches, DRM (Digital Right Management) solutions among others. He is the primary author of “Securing VoIP Networks” by Addison-Wesley and one of his community efforts include the development of SiVuS (The 1st VoIP Vulnerability Scanner) which is used by commercial, government and academic organizations to verify security and robustness in VoIP networks and conduct research. Peter holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from Columbia University, NY and he is an active member of IETF, IEEE, ACM and ISSA. He is also continuing academic research at Columbia University as part of the US-UK ITA research consortium on coalition communications.
