R&D Consultant, Managing Director, ENAT
Ivor Ambrose is the Managing Director of ENAT, a non-profit association based in Brussels. He holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Psychology from the University of Surrey, UK and the title of Senior Researcher, equivalent to Ph.D., from the Danish Building Research Institute. Since 1993 he has participated in a range of European R & D programmes and projects as researcher, manager, reviewer, evaluator and intra muros Expert to the European Commission. He is a specialist in European research and development on accessibility for disabled and elderly people, in particular in the areas of user participation in design, ICTs and accessible tourism. He has previously worked at the European Commission, DG Information Society and as Project Technical Assistant, DG Research. He works as a consultant on program and project evaluation, as well as accessible tourism development for clients including the European Commission, national tourist boards, regional authorities, tourist destinations and enterprises. He is a member of the UN World Tourism Organisation’s Panel of Experts and is Co-Chair of the first “World Summit on Destinations for All”, October 2014 in Montreal, Canada.
