Dr. Federico R. Casci
Head of Planning and Monitoring Unit, Fusion for Energy
Dr. Casci is Head of the Planning & Monitoring Unit at Fusion for Energy (F4E), with responsibilities in the areas of planning, risk, cost and budget. F4E is the organization created under the EURATOM Treaty that, among other tasks, is responsible for providing Europe’s contribution to ITER, the world’s largest scientific partnership that aims to demonstrate fusion as a viable and sustainable source of energy. His previous experience covers many fields such as design of mechanical/nuclear fusion components, definition and management of interfaces and systems integration, dissemination of scientific information and interaction with target audiences on outreach and education on fusion and energy. He has been working in an international environment for 30 years, and is the author of many technical publications and contributions that are both fusion specific and energy-related. Dr. Federico R. Casci has a degree in Mechanical Engineering (Politecnico of Milan- Italy).
